Android OS is great, but sometimes, the version you get with your Blackview BV6000 leaves a bit more to desire. Here is a quick flashing guide on how to install a new version of Android version (or ROM) on your Blackview BV6000 for an even better Android experience.

What's a ROM?

The openness of the Android platform has a great advantage to it, which is if you are unsatisfied with the default Stock Firmware OS, you can install a new one out of the many modified versions of Android (called ROMs) on your Blackview BV6000 device. A newly installed ROM can bring you the latest version of Android experience before the manufacturer does it, or it can also substitute the manufacturer’s modded version of Android with a clean dependable stock version firmware. Or furthermore, you could keep your existing Android version and just upgrade it with awesome new features— that's up to you.

Each version of the Android OS has a specific goal in mind, and each one differs from the others in one aspect or the other. Which one you pick is according to on your main concerns, your priorities and how you want to customize your device.

WARNINGPLEASE PROCEED WITH THE FLASHING GUIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK. ANY KIND OF BRICKING OR SYSTEM FAILURE WILL NOT BE MY RESPONSIBILITY.

  3. Thank you! My BV6000 arrived from the Hong Kong factory with two "malwares" embedded in the ROM, undeletable. One malware was automatically installing Apps, two at a time. I don't even know what the other malware did. I tried the original Blackview info a couple of years ago, and failed. I followed your article, and the whole process was painless. My malware scanner now reports a clean system! And it's got a more modern droid version. You didn't say whether new Blackview updates can now occur when released. But if not, I can live with it the way it is, for now.
